The band NOFX is an American punk rock band from LA, California that was formed in 1983. The band's sound is diverse, utilizing elements of punk rock, skate punk, melodic hardcore, ska punk, and other music genres. Its more recent songs often focus on issues such as politics, society, racism, sexism, homophobia, class inequalities, drug use, the music industry, and religion. One of their songs in particular, Franco Un-American is a perfect example of anarchism in music because it talks about how Americans typically don't care about what is going on in the world, and the band is saying that that is no way to live. The last line actually reads "I don't wanna be another I-don't-care-ican, what are we gonna do, Franco Un-American?" The band is asking what are we going to do about all of the issues that are occurring in life today. It is interesting because this band's ideas, along with many of the other band's on this blog, are from a while ago, some even before we were born. The fact that these same issues are present in society is nuts.
